Meeting & Greeting

Let’s Meet! Your Guide to the Perfect Meet & Greet with Gone Dog

Here at Gone Dog, we believe every tail wag and happy bark starts with the perfect first impression. And that’s exactly what a Meet & Greet (or Trial Meeting, if you want to get fancy) is all about. It’s our chance to connect before the real fun begins—and trust us, it’s the best way to make sure we’re the right fit for your pup!

So, what’s the deal with a Meet & Greet? Let’s break it down:

What’s a Meet & Greet, Anyway?

A Meet & Greet is a relaxed, no-pressure opportunity to introduce your dog to their potential new sitter. We’ll hang out for about 15 to 30 minutes—enough time to chat, explore the space, and go over any important details about your dog’s care. No need to rush into a lifelong commitment right away—it’s just a chance for your dog to sniff around, get comfortable, and check us out.

It’s kind of like a first date, but with fewer awkward silences and more tail wags.

Don’t Stress About Instant BFFs

We know you want your dog to feel totally at ease, but just like people, dogs take time to adjust to new environments and relationships. If they don’t immediately fall in love with us, that’s perfectly normal! Some barking, whining, or even a little grumbling and growling might happen as they get used to the new surroundings. It’s their way of saying, “I’m checking this out!” and nothing to worry about. With patience and a little love, they’ll settle in and be ready for some fun in no time.

Why You’ll Love a Meet & Greet (And Why We Do, Too!)

Sure, Meet & Greets aren’t required, but we think they’re the secret sauce to a smooth-sailing experience for both you and your dog. It’s a great way to make sure we’re the perfect match for your pup’s needs. After all, we’re all about comfort, safety, and making sure your dog has a blast while you’re away.

If you’re ready to book, we recommend scheduling your Meet & Greet soon after you’ve chatted with us. Our schedule can fill up quickly, especially around holidays, and you won’t want to miss out on a spot for your dog! This meeting is also your opportunity to ask all the questions you have, get familiar with the space, and start things off on the right paw.

The Pawsitive Perks of a Meet & Greet:

  • We get to know each other – You’ll feel comfortable asking about our services, our pet care philosophy, and anything else that’s on your mind.

  • Your dog gets comfortable – It’s their chance to explore new surroundings and meet their sitter without feeling rushed.

  • We set clear expectations – From playtime to feeding schedules, we’ll make sure we’re all on the same page.

  • Safety first – We’ll talk through any special care instructions and make sure we’re prepared for any unique needs your dog may have.

Let’s Get This Tail-Wagging Show on the Road!

At the end of the day, our goal is to make your dog feel like part of the Gone Dog family. Whether it’s belly rubs, playtime, or a cozy nap on the couch, we’re here to give your pup the best care while you’re away. So, let’s set up a Meet & Greet and start this adventure off on the right paw!

We can’t wait to meet you and your furry friend. Trust us, it’s going to be pawsitively amazing!
