A Typical Day

First things first, there are no typical days! I strive to create a fun and enriching experience for every furry guest, ensuring that every stay is unique.

Mornings begin with breakfast, followed by a refreshing walk—lately, we've been doing a 2-mile round trip, but please let me know if that’s too much or too little for your four-legged friend. My goal is to always get in both a morning and evening walk, but due to our area’s rainy weather (and the occasional freezing temperatures), walks are weather-dependent. The same goes for visits to the dog park; I keep a close eye on the forecast to ensure it’s safe and enjoyable for everyone.

Rest assured, enrichment is a key part of our day! I focus on providing a well-rounded mix of physical, occupational, sensory, nutritional, and social enrichment. Whether it’s through interactive dog puzzles, stuffed Kongs, snuffle mats, or other fun toys, I aim to keep your pet both mentally and physically stimulated.

If your pup enjoys treats, I love to use natural goodies like peanut butter, pumpkin puree, canned salmon/chicken, beef bones, frozen apples, etc. *No rawhide allowed* (just let me know if that’s okay). And yes, sometimes, even a simple ice cube rolling down the hallway sparks pure joy!

This isn't just a job to me; it is my passion.

During rest times, or if I need to work on the computer, the TV shows dog-themed movies and shows. I’m also prepared for those stormy nights or celebrations with fireworks—sometimes sound machines can be a petsitter's best friend. When that happens, I personally give my dog, Olive, the NaturVet Quiet Moments melatonin calming aid treats to help her relax; let me know if that's something you'd be interested in.

I’m excited to provide your pet with a safe, fun, and stimulating environment where they can feel right at home. If you have any special requests or preferences, I’m here to cater to their unique needs!
